  1. Peters being on as a "regular" now on tuesdays and thursdays has a lot to do with the response that WGR gets every time he's on the morning or afternoon show as a guest. Everytime he is on, they get tons of texts, emails, and tweets about how good he is and he should be on more often. I've sent a few myself but Howard/Jermey and Schop/Bulldog have mentioned that several times. I'm sure it's not just that someone was reading it on this message board, although it can't hurt. Peters also does that tv show with Rayzor that people seem to like.

I enjoyed the full two hours of Petey sitting in today and will be listening most days when he's on. If they let him line up some guests like he did on the morning show last week, we'll get some great radio! I love that I can listen until noon every day now. I hated that garbage from 10-12 before.

I stream it on my iPhone since I'm in Pittsburgh and it sucks my battery but I don't care, I plug it in and listen all morning!!

I work during the week. What makes him so good?

  2. You mean you didn't love it when Coward called hockey a "niche" sport that was basically ignored by most of the american sports fans? I would rather trade Pominville for Semin than listen to Cowherd fain interest in Hockey and talk down about it. Cowherd should just discuss football all year because thats all any espn stooge can do.

I don't like Cowherd. Yet a failure to accept the fact that hockey is a niche sport, is ostrich like. Understand, this is a comment from a 31 yr Sabre season ticket holder who loves the game in it's pure form.
  3. Digging back into my childhood and borrowed a schoolbook off my son. Thoroughly enjoying Treasure Island the second time through. That book put the adventure bug in me back in the day and its no different now. Good read.

Yea, I did that second read about 15 yrs ago. Good book.
  4. If you can put aside his politics if you hate him, I've read most of Newt Gingrich's historical fictions. He is an historian by education and an intelligent man. They are good and informative reads. Really enjoyed the Gettysburg trilogy, and it has peeked my interest in reading straight history books on the subject after I finnish my current list.

  5.

If Ted Nugent really cares about this country and wants to protect the USA, why isn't Ted Nugent and his bow in Afghanistan? Why isn't Ted and his bow in the mountains of Columbia shutting down the drug cartels? Seems like Ted could really make a difference other than killing animals that he purchases and releases on his property.

    Wow, you follow Ted!

Also this weather. It's keeping me from going inside and doing thesis work. Not really a good complaint, but whatever.

GGreat for you. Masters or PHD? Subject matter? Good Luck!
  6. If we're going to talk about reading for entertainment I can't recommend Steven Hunter's Bob Lee Swagger series enough. It is the character that the Mark Wahlberg movie "Shooter" was based on. Hint, the Point of Impact novel was wayyyy better than "Shooter". Great reading if you are into action.

Read um. You'll love Vince Flynn and his main character Mitch Rapp.
