If there is to be a change/alteration come playoff time, i was thinking incorporating a picture of the cup on there. Some may consider it a sacrilege to even discuss the cup, but we have lived by that creed long enough and it has yet to work. On the flipside, maybe no change is necessary. With this banner we have maintained 1st place in the league for however long, who knows if this banner is the reason that we win the cup this year?

Having never been to a game in BUffalo, is it normal to see that many accursed Loafs fans in attendence???
Been a few years since i was at a leafs sabres game, but all throughout the 90's and the early 00's i would say the crowd was almost 50-50 Sabres and leafs fans. (Probably just felt that way, may have been 60-40ish, but when there is that many, it feels like an even house)

Just saw the highlights for the first time, drury's goal was nasty as was pommers....
Quick question, if you watch the highlights on nhl.com, in the last few seconds they show a clip from the goal cam of the sabres celebrating at their bench on the left side of the screen. Just wondering, who was it that jumped off the bench and fell in excitement?

ut the key to the Sens this year is just that - with a 20 goal scorer on each line their depth is tops in the league
Gaustad and Grier are the only two non 15 goal scoring forwards we had this year... And the 4 players that just missed 20, are Connolly, Pominville, Roy, and Hecht... all of which weren't in the lineup for at least 12 games this year. A 20 goal scorer on each line isn't hard to find on either team.

I wish that maxim afinogenov would learn to play team hockey every now and then. His fancy little moves gets him the goals every now and then, but more often than not, it leads to a busted play or a turnover. He's been playing for like 5 years now... time to step up or ship out. Regier proved that he doesn't like the selfish, streaky player when he dumped satan this summer.
Corp, i disagree... i am too lazy to look up where he stands amongst sabres but i am pretty sure he is in the top 60 in the NHL with 31 assists... he has to be close to the lead for the sabres.... and he had three last night... I think he is coming into his own and getting better each month of the season. Everyone is prone to turnovers now and again but i think his play has dramatically improved

Big night tonight. Sabres can pick up some points and keep a game in hand on all the important ones tonight (Car, Phi, NYR, OTT). I wonder what the vegas odds would be for all four teams to lose and a Sabres win.

Didn't want to add a thread to the main page as its crowded enough in there (move if worthy), but congrats to the board and the mod team. Most users today at 12:45, at least 150 more people than the end of the season last year. Been an interesting day to be a Sabres fan. Grats to all.
