I can see your point. I do think it's a loss, but not much we can do in this situation. League sets this rule to let them walk. Until the rule is change, can't lose sleep over it. In my opinion, at this time, he's not ready for the NHL. I've watched him all year. I'm no scout, but he needs some development. I think it would be a bigger loss if we rushed him in the NHL, and he busted. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, not sure what the hold up is with him not signing yet. Sign your deal, play with Rochester for the playoffs, earn your spot next year with a few open defensive spots on the roster (my opinion). I think it's a really good position for any young player to enter the fold. IMO, his loss if he moves on> No sleep lost here. Go Sabres!

I'll pass on throwing all those assets at Kane. If they want him, wait until the summer when he's a UFA.
Also, If I'm giving anything thing up by the trade deadline, it's for a top 4 D-Man.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why the Michigan goalie, and Johnson (defense) don't want to sign with Buffalo? Is it the team, city, money, opportunity, or just want to sign where they want to play?

No Eichel, no skinner 8 mil a year.  If Eichel is out a few games, let’s see what some of these players do to prove their financial worth.  Easy when one of the best players is there to assist, but lets see where they are without him.

Hope Eichel is good, but in my opinion, this proves to me that skinner is not worth 8 mil., or close to that asking price. Â Definite wake up call.
