I cant believe we didn't beat this trade. If KA didn't want to pay a big contract down the line. He could
have used him for two years and then trade him for what he would have given up or even more.

I like Portillo. He is a leader as well as a talented goalie.
Power was tremendous. A horse at both ends. 4 assists.
The difference between Power and Hughes was the 3rd period where when the game got tight, Power was on the ice and Hughes wasn’t.

I was checking the Amerks game tonight against the 10-0 Utica Comets. And I saw their farm team was the NJ Devils, who also has been winning lately.
Anyways, I checked out Utica's roster and could not believe the size of the Devils prospects.

This last NHL draft the Sabres size average is around 165-175. Why do we always go in that direction ?
A little more size and toughness would do wonders.

Signing Christian Ehrhoff to a 10-year, $40 million dollar contract.
. The team used a compliance buyout in June 2014 after just three seasons of the 10-year contract.
Though Ehrhoff doesn't count toward the Sabres' salary cap, he is on their payroll for $857,143 through the 2027-28 season.

No, but the Sabres could move a young d-man or two to help EDM on their back end and get one of their previous #1s.
