Pretty good day i'd say...
I was at that Hasek game...sat 5 rows behind his net...one of the best games at the HSBC ever...that Gratton goal was priceless
That Grosek trade still baffles me...

I was talking to a beer salesman at the last game and i was wearing my May jersey...he mentioned that the Sabres had the choice to include either Andreychuk or May in the deal and choose Dave... :blink:
Now i don't know if that is true or not, but that surprises me...
Not complaining though...even though Dave went on to Toronto to score over 50 goals, Mayday wouldn't have happened...
It was the first round pick that i always thought was way too much...although we probably would have drafted another Joel Savage anyway...

I can't stand the Oilers or their broadcast...
And i no longer want Peca in Buffalo anymore, this new game is not for him...

The Sabres trade John Tucker to the Washington Capitals for future considerations. Six months later, the Sabres would purchase Tucker back from the Caps only to trade him again in January 1991 to the Islanders for future considerations. Must feel good to be so wanted, eh? Tucker ended up in Tampa Bay for four seasons before retiring. In Buffalo, he scored 116 goals in the regular season and nine in the playoffs, none bigger than one in overtime of the first round of the playoffs in 1988 against the Bruins.
John Tucker was always one of my favorites...
That penalty shot against the Bruins in game 3 still gives me goosebumps...those two games are two of my favorite dvd's...

I just picked mine up last night...
All of the early 90's stuff is great - Lafontaine, Mogilny, Hawerchuk etc...That's when i first started going to games on my own, having a few pops at the Aud,etc...
I was pissed at the Mayday portion...the best part of the call is " how do you spell second round"... they cut it too short...oh well
The Sabres should wake up and realize there is a market for anything old or blue and gold...a dvd would be a no brainer...

Seems to me this is the first really tough physical game the Sabres have had to play this year...

Can't really tell if Miller should have had the first goal. Every camera angle I saw had someone in the way.
Tough to say...hard to fault him on that...

The Sabres are in tough tonite...Flyers have looked good in the first 10 minutes...Campbell looks jumpy tonite, like he's going to get hit hard

If i'm not mistaken, didn't Mogilny and Ray score on their first shift ( Mogilny against Quebec and Ray vs Pitts) ?... maybe even Gare as well??
