If they are going to use the rail cam. mount it on the opposite side from the main camera so it doesn't get in the way of the action (and the players can whack it from the bench as it goes by).

 

I thought about that too, but the problem with putting it on the opposite side of the ice is they couldn't switch to it during live action. Say a play was moving from left to right on the regular camera angle and they switched to the rail cam, suddenly the play would be moving the opposite direction from right to left. It would be very disorrienting and hard to follow. The thing is jerky enough as it is without a complete switch in angle.

 

I do like some of the shots for replays but its just not worth it to see this stupid thing shooting up and down the boards all game long.

I noticed the same thing about 5 min ago.....is it true the game was not on last night? I was at the game so I could not tell.....I see Knicks stuff on there as well...hmmmmm

 

Last night the TV Info said the game would be on. But when it was 8:00, MSG was showing some fantasy football show. Then about ten minutes into the broadcast they switched it over to the Sabres game. About halfway through the game it switched back to regular MSG shows, again after about ten minutes it got switched back to the Sabres game. So we didn't miss a whole lot, but it was pretty annoying.

 

Hopefully they've got it all straightened out for tonight

Anybody else in the Buffalo area not see the Sabres game scheduled on MSG at 7? I'm seeing Knicks stuff and am just worried we're going to have a repeat of last night when the game wasn't on bc somebody at Time Warner forgot to flip the switch
