  1. Has anyone purchased wings online before (I'm thinking La Nova) and had them shipped to another city? I'm thinking of doing it for the game but I'm wondering how they turn out on the other end. Other recommendations would be appreciated.

  2.

There is no specific call for hitting someone after the play is dead. If it's clearly outside of a follow through of the ongoing play it could be called unsportsmanlike conduct or roughing (or any of the other myriad of penalties that it may have been had the play occurred before the whistle blew).

I was so angry after they made that call on Mair for the hit after the whistle. The last game we played in Boston Chara would knock down Roy after every whistle and nothing would be called. Mair lays a check on someone his own size after a whistle and gets a call when a good knocks down someone half his size and gets nothing. Sometimes I just dont understand how the refs can call things at certain times and totally ignore something obvious..

  3. It did. His right leg brought it back towards the net and it went in along the side of the net. Hard to see unless you really looked for it.

They showed it coming off his leg and approaching the net but they never actually had a shot that showed the puck over the line. Im not sold that the puck actually went in the net. Miller is a fantasy nightmare when it comes to shutouts...

  4. Man you guys are REALLY overreacting to this game. It's a wonder you are still alive given that they lost 10-4 to this team last season ... if this is your reaction to a bad period I'm surprised you didn't leap off the Peace Bridge after that game.

i agree... Heatleys hat trick is one of the worst I have ever seen. They score on 3 lucky goals and we are up against a hot goaltender. They beat us last year and it had no indication of what happens in the post season. That said our PP looks horrible and it needs to be fixed, not just against Ottawa but in general.

  5. He has a penchant for allowing soft goals when approaching a shutout (not that it was the case tonight necessarily), and many times is noones fault but his own. A shutout is a shutout. I get the feeling that you believe that since the sabres play a wide open style, that somehow millers saves are somehow more important or meaningful than any other goalie's, anyways I dont buy it at all.

Its not that his saves are more important its the fact that we have a goaltender that we can count on to make big saves. Without a goalie that the team has confidence in they wouldnt take as many chances on the offensive side of the ice. I do agree that he does let soft goals in late in games sometimes but his skill level in net is very importand because of the way Ruff wants to play hockey, not necesarily each save being more important that another goalies...

  6. Rookie mistake? Hope he doesn't wind up in Lindy's doghouse like Vanek did last season during the playoffs.

Hes a call up that hasnt even finished hes first game, I dont think he will be here long enough to get in any dog house... and Lindy did it because he knew Vanek was a special player and he would respond, I dont think Ryan has done anything to show us he is special.

  7. I just got back from the game a few minutes ago.... what a beat down. The crowd went nuts when Richards was given the penalty shot in the first but went even crazier when Miller absolutely stoned him. When each goal was scored it was expected to score another.. Best part was the WE WANT 10 chant..
