  1. I love Lindy and I love this decision, but I am anxious as well. Lindy is different, and that is what my hesitation is. Maybe it is his age, maybe it is his experience, I don't know, but I don't see this Lindy sending out Peters and gang and then going full metal jacket on Murray like in 2007. That is Lindy, so without that I don't know what we get for sure.

  2. There was a moment in the 3rd period, it started on the power play and ended a few minutes after that. That stretch was ugly and reminded me of last year. Those moments need to stop. I don't mind if a team is playing better than them and they struggle, but during that small stretch they could not make an open pass, could not receive a pass, and could not skate. They were completely out of sync. When I stop seeing those moments I will buy in completely again.

  3. Yeah, I used to go to games in The Aud.  My father had season tickets in the orange seats for several years.  He hated the traffic, so we would hang out for a while after the game.  I would go row by row setting up bear cups and stomping on them to make that loud popping sound.  Once I fell a few rows, scared the crap out of my dad and I, lol.  It sure was steep up there.

Later on we didn't have season tickets any longer, but my dad would be taken by salesmen.  That's when we would sit in the golds, and sometimes go to The Aud Club.  I hated having to wear a sport coat at that place, punk kid and all.  They let me borrow one the first time, then my father bought me one the next day.  It was probably only used 3-4 times, but I'll never forget it.

I went to a few games in HSBC Arena as well before I moved away.  It is Buffalo, so it is still loud, but nothing will beat The Aud...especially during the playoffs.

  4. It's tough for fans (even the knowledgeable ones here) to know much about who the best GM candidates are. We all have preferences but they are going to be heavily weighted towards the names everyone knows.

I don't have the slightest idea who the best choice is since I wasn't expecting to have to hire a GM anytime soon

Well said.  I am guessing that this about sums it up for the majority of us.

It is hard not having an opinion ready to voice the moment the news dropped.  I guess it is time to start reading the hockey news sites and regurgitating their ideas here as if they were my own

  5. I believe that Buffalo is going to beat Boston in this series, and yet people are getting on my back about looking ahead. I'm sorry, I guess I shouldn't have had that conversation about playing against Ottawa in the the playoffs before we even clinched. I guess The Great One shouldn't have made his cup predictions. I guess we should all be even keel and not be excited because we have a better team than Boston. I guess we shouldn't have predicted points at the beginning of the season because that would mean that we were taking the games during the season for granted.

Screw that. Buffalo wins and I'm looking at the second round.

  6. In-Laws.

BLOODY IGNORANT FOUL SELFISH FAT A$$HOLES!!

I have had it with them. They are lazy and stupid and mean and I hate them.

Ditto, although they're not fat. They say they're coming, but they don't say when they're showing up or when they're leaving. The call us the day before they arrive (it's a 3 day drive from FL to MN, so they're in IA) and then one morning I wake up and they are all packed and on their way home (typically 1-3 weeks later)! Just down right rude!
