‘Jankowski has diligently worked his way back to the NHL after accepting an American Hockey League contract in mid-October to play for the Sabres’ top farm team. The Sabres liked what they saw and signed him to an NHL contract in late November and he’s been with Buffalo ever since. He doesn’t play every game because the struggling Sabres are trying a variety of roster combinations in a season which is the first step of another rebuild.’
