‘I had started a career transition program through the Olympic Committee, following the Olympics. It was going to come sooner or later, and I wanted to start to educate myself and figure out what I wanted to do after. It had been in the works for a couple of years. I was still all in on playing, but I think that organically, the time was right to move on last year and I got lucky to get this opportunity.’
