Five Sabres, HC Krueger in NHL’s COVID protocol; Changes coming to day-to-day operations
‘The Sabres may have reason to be upset with the NHL, as the league decided to go forward with Buffalo’s weekend series against the New Jersey despite COVID concerns growing inside the Devils’ locker room. Between the Sabres’ win over the Devils on Saturday and their loss on Sunday, two NJ players, Kyle Palmieri and Sami Vatanen, were added to the league’s COVID protocol. Proof that the virus was still spreading when Buffalo shared the ice with their East Division foe.’
