Rasmus Dahlin added strength in quest to earn bigger role with Sabres

‘“I think he’s a guy that once you see the power play and 5-on-5, 4-on-4, 3-on-3 situations, what he can do with the puck, he’s basically a fourth forward out there,” added Hall. “It’s going to be really fun to see him take another step and hopefully cement himself in that upper echelon of defensemen in this league.”’

Mike Harrington: Even in this bizarro world, it was great to see hockey again

‘”Everyone is smiling. Everyone is having so much fun at the rink right now,” said defenseman Rasmus Dahlin. “For me, I was super excited to get everything going (with Thursday’s physicals and testing) And today we have our first practice, a lot of laughs. We had a lot of fun out there.”‘

Ralph Krueger says ‘all’s under control’ after injured Jack Eichel misses practice

‘”It’s important that we integrate people, whether it’s Jack when he’s right, or Linus. We expected possible complications and we had one there but everybody is in a good space, and we’re interacting with them. And we’re communicating with them as we are with everybody. So no need for panic for sure.”‘

Fake Josh Allen jerseys, knock-off Sabres apparel nabbed by customs officers

‘The 17 jersey was among counterfeit items spotted by Customs officers at a mail-sorting hub in Rochester during the last few weeks. They also found a fake Tre’Davious White No. 27 jersey and Sabres’ apparel.’

Sabres’ Rasmus Dahlin ready to enjoy breakout season after long layoff

‘“If I look at the strength and the physicality, you will visibly see that in the first skate on the first of January that Dahlin has really used the time properly,” Krueger said Tuesday.’

Sabres notes: Jack Eichel misses first practice

‘“(Eichel) will be fine,” Krueger said. “We are being just cautious in the process, but we expect Jack here in the next couple of days. The same with Linus. He’s had a tremendous preparation. There was a stall in the immigration process, but he’s in Buffalo and we need to follow the proper processes.'”‘

Eichel out day-to-day with upper-body injury

‘It was likely that Eichel was set to slot in on the top line at Friday’s session with Taylor Hall on his left wing and Victor Olofsson on the right wing. Instead, it was Casey Mittelstadt who got in the first reps on the top line, while camp invitee Riley Sheahan also rotated in.’

Sabres prospects find success at 2021 World Juniors

‘Dylan Cozens and Jack Quinn have played their roles in helping Team Canada capture Group A of the tournament. The Canadians went a perfect 4-0 in the preliminary round, while out-scoring the opposition 33-4 in that span.’

Welcome back to hockey

‘The make up of the practice groups on Friday were not what has been in the past with training camps, with an even amount of talent spilt up between the two sessions. Instead, the first group consisted mostly of the players who will either make the 23-man roster or be fighting to make the six-man taxi squad. The second group was made up of mostly players who could be utilized on the taxi squad, but their most likely destination to start the season will be the American Hockey League when its season starts on Feb. 5.’

Eichel out day-to-day due to upper body injury; Ullmark quarantining due to immigration issue

‘The Sabres announced captain Jack Eichel is out day-to-day with an upper body injury, and goalie Linus Ullmark is quarantining due to an immigration issue.’
