‘With college players using this loophole in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, it seems like it may be getting more dangerous to draft college players. Botterill said, “I still believe a lot in the college model and having players develop there. I think it’s a great scenario, I think it’s very good from a standpoint of the work ethic, the strength training and just the pace of play for skaters, so overall you still want to get the best player and you’ve got to work on developing that relationship through your development staff over time.”’
