Miller helps Sabres down Flyers

Source: Hamilton Spectator

‘But it was the cold-blooded save on Danny Briere with about eight minutes to go which pulled the crowd to its feet in vocal unison. The former Sabre had snuck behind the defence and was all alone at the crease with plenty of time but couldn’t fool Miller. Since Briere has been booed all series for deserting Buffalo for Philadelphia after the golden 2006 playoff run, that save was especially sweet for hometowners who don’t forget, and rarely forgive. They not only began chanting Miller’s name, the mantra escalated in volume as play resumed. “I was chanting his name too,” Ruff said.’
