Buffalo 4, Vancouver 3 (SO)

Source: The Sports Network

‘…the game went to a shootout. After Daniel Briere and Ryan Kesler came up empty for their clubs, Maxim Afinogenov beat Sabourin five-hole to put Buffalo in front. Brendan Morrison answered for Vancouver and after Thomas Vanek lost control of the puck on the Sabres’ third attempt, Markus Naslund had a chance to win it for the Canucks. However, Miller stuffed Naslund and Kotalik backhanded a shot top-shelf on Sabourin to give the Sabres the lead.’
