Sabres Hang On For 2-1 Win

Source: WGR-AM

‘The Sabres got an early chance on the power play with the new lines but couldn’t convert. Though Jochen Hecht would give Buffalo the 1-0 lead just twenty seconds after the man advantage expired. There would no more scoring until the third period when Maxim Afinogenov came in on a one on one and snuck the puck past Nikolai Khabibulin to increase the Sabres lead to 2-0 just into the third.’
