NHL, college scouts will eye local talent

Source: Buffalo News

‘The Sabres will provide all scouts with an information packet that includes players’ phone numbers and e-mail addresses, so if scouts like what they see they’ll be able to get in touch. “It’s a great way for these kids to play in front of college coaches and show what they can do,” said Sabres Youth Hockey Manager Pat Fisher. “The other part is the Sabres organization has shown a lot more interest in local kids the last two years. It sends a great message to our local kids. And we’re hoping to get as many youth hockey players down here who hopefully will aspire to play in this event.”‘
