Sabres call up C Novotny

'Novotny is expected to make his NHL debut in Buffalo's game against Phoenix on Thursday, filling in for rookie Paul Gaustad, who's out with a head injury. Jiri Novotny recalled by Buffalo Sabres

'Novotny is currently third on the Amerks with 27 points (10+17) in 36 games. He is in his fourth season with Rochester and has played in 188 American Hockey League games.
