Losing Sabres would be a serious blow to the city

Source: Buffalo News

'It's hard to justify spending public money to keep a hockey team in a city that's having trouble making ends meet. But we have to roll up our sleeves and figure out a way to make it work. I don't think anyone would choose paying for the arena over paying for teachers, but if we're creative, we can find a way to keep the team without having to make that choice.'
