Needless to say, Pegula has done very well with his investments in pro sports.

13% growth from last year in this economy is phenomenal. Almost 3 doubles on his OG investment in 15yrs, he's gotta be happy. Not to mention another 50 million from expansion coming at some point.

I wonder if Terry would sell a minority stake in the Sabres like he did with the Bills to pay for arena improvements? I think Josh Allen and Thurman Thomas would be good candidates. Maybe we can form a SabreSpace consortium. Pool our vast resources. 💰🤑

I haven't been to the arena in....15 years.  How bad has it become?

Fwiw...I didn't think it was in great shape 15 years ago...

Why would he have to?

Times are tough for TP, eh?

It's fine. They've upgraded sound, lights and videoboard, for three.

Allen buying stock from the same guy who owns his team is a slippery slope. It’s not worth the cap circumvention issues that could pop up.

According to the 2026 Forbes valuations for NFL teams, the Bills clock in at a cool $8.15b or $5.8b more than what he paid for them 12 years ago. Not a bad ROI.

A) increase in valuation doesn’t equate to increase in liquidity

B) the roof was probably biggest investment/improvement

I am not a frequent visitor so some season ticket holders can probably give you more details, but from when I have been there its outdated.  They are putting some moeny into it to fix some issues, but its showing its age.  Most other Arenas around the league have wider concourses, more comfortable seats, more dining options, just in general are nicer.

Some might say "I go there for the game, I don't need all that" and they are true. However, with the prices they charge, if I am just there for the game, I can see most of what I want as good (in some cases better) at home. I'm there for the experience, so yeah, its lagging behind most of the league that way.

Again, my impression is with a little work here and a little work there its 'fine'.  The thing is, the Aud was 'fine' for most of its life. But when I am paying 20 TIMES more for a ticket now than I was in the Aud, I want a little more than 'fine'.

It's not that bad. Sure, people love to b*tch and look for things to b*tch about. But there's nothing so wrong with the place that impacts my enjoyment.

Now if they are going to spend a couple hundred mil, they could try to expand the concourses. Maybe create some outdoor patios like they have in Tampa.

I was just thinking about how Patrick Mahomes owns a part of the KC Royals, but it's a different owner. Good point. Not I bet there is a workaround.
