I don't recognize his authority to do so. In fact I flat out reject it.

I've gotta do Olcott

I was driving through Olcott yesterday morning. They had a massive classic car show there. There had to be well over a hundred, probably many more than that. Classic cars from the '60s and '70s mostly.

Apparently a tornado came very close through the area the other day. There was a lot of debris laying around and there were some pretty big trees down just about a mile or less east of Olcott.

As for the thousand Islands, we were there again last weekend. I like going there. I can't put my finger on it, there's some cool things to do, at times. The area seems a little tiny bit run down but then you find a restaurant or something to do That is really fun and interesting. Definitely different than many other places we've been to.

Is that Lakeside Park above the background to Rush’s song of the same name?

It sure is. Neil grew up in Port Dalhousie and spent a lot of time there.

Headed to NOTL in a couple weeks. Golf, food, wineries, family. Can’t wait!

Did you ever play at the old historic golf course at the edge of town right on the inlet to Lake Ontario.  I think it is a 9 hole course?

I played it many years ago. I don't remember it at all, other than the ruins of the old Fort Mississauga being right in the middle of it.

Yes, indeed. Love that little course. Still have a few pics on my phone. Can’t remember which hole it was but I tried to hit a massive slice just so I can say I hit a ball into Lake Ontario! (yes, Ontario).

My favorite spot on Lake Ontario is down in 'the County'.  We spend most of our summers at Quinte Isle, just outside of Picton.  Great area with several wineries, breweries, craft distilleries and decent restaurants.  Summer can get a little busy as its a popular destination for Toronto vacationers but worth it.  Such a beautiful area.  Sandbanks Provincial Park is a must see with its high sand dunes and amazing beach, although it gets quite busy in July/August.

Speaking of Lake Ontario, we're about to head out on the water for some tubing (possibly last boat ride of the season).  Until next summer Quinte Isle....

No need to gatekeep "YOUR" thread when my comment was appropriate to the comment directly above mine.

My comment was made with much more jollity than how you took it.  No worries.

I went to Rudy’s Lakeside Drive-In Sunday in Oswego right on the shore of Lake Ontario. Had some steamed clams and clam chowder. It was pretty windy but warm.

Oh we've reached batshit crazy. If Obama had posted AI slop of him attacking the Canadian PM with a hockey stick, Republicans would have impeached him immediately. We're totally cooked as a country. Lake Ontario is now a natural boundary protecting Canada from US aggression.

Yes, but nowadays he primarily limits his practice to Bird Law.  😉

Bird law and volunteer work. But mostly bird law, volunteering to protect their nests and their flight patterns.
