Sabres Report Season Ticket Packages are Sold Out

It's a $100 deposit now to join the Sabres season ticket waitlist.  It's been a long freaking time since there has been a waitlist.  Good to see tickets have obviously been moving very well.  There were a number of full and half packages available the last I checked early in the offseason.

People have been dying to support this hockey team for a long time...even ones who didn't go to the games were probably still watching many of them.

Last season was the first season when I lived in Buffalo and did not attend a game in a VERY long time.  And I still watched almost all of them.  (The West Coast games usually are too late for me.)

My first thought was how much of that was entertainment budget moving from the Bills to the Sabres. My seasons are much easier on the wallet than Bills seasons.

That never was the case until this year, though.  And the Bills also are sold out.

That's because many saw the price of Bills tickets and switched .  Couldn't afford the 2nd mortgage !

Does anyone know how many seats are accounted for via season tickets?  I.e. does this mean the entire arena is now sold out for every game?  I kinda doubt it, but am curious as to the specifics.

In addition to being a winning team, the Sabres are also entertaining to watch. They are a fast and quick team that leans more towards an offensive than defensive style of play. I'm happy for the fans. They went through a lot of frustration before it got to this more positive period.

9K fewer seats. And just because they are sold out doesn’t mean there wasn’t turnover among STH. Also, the Sabres and Bills have made the playoffs in the same calendar year exactly one time this millennium and that was last season. The last 25 years doesn’t tell us much imo on priorities. Many people became stronger Bills fans during the Sabres drought and vice versa.

Seasons are capped at ~10k?  That seems low.  Thought it was originally capped at 14k.

Would probably be fairly easy to guestimate how many seats are seasons and how many are sold as singles.  Take a look at a map of one of the late season weeknight games against a non-"name" opponent.  Count up the blue dots and subtract from a sellout.  Easy-peazy.

I was referring to the Bills new stadium. I believe you’re correct at 14k for STH. That’s the number I remember. They said they had 9k last year. Nice jump.

The Bills had over 70% of the season ticket holders renew with the new stadium. It should also be noted that even with PSL’s factored in, most Sabre packages are more then Bills packages. I believe the Sabres increase has more to do with a competent business staff and less to do with the Bills changeover.

That’s still 5400 Buffalo sports fans with more walking around money than the year before. You are probably correct that competency, both on and off the ice is the driving factor. I’d just expect a non-insignificant number of those people to be switching from one team to the other. The cheapest I’ve heard for PSLs has been $1500. You can sit in most of the 300s for that. 

First and foremost, there have been a lot of Sabres fans waiting on the sidelines for years to give the team their money. That’s how they got me.

2026-2027 is my first year ever as a season ticket holder and the driving reason is the Sabres finally have a competent GM I trust will make 1 or 2 in season trades that will continue to improve this team year over year. 

I was one top 6 forward away from buying seasons last year but settled on a 10 game flex pack because I didn't trust KA's abilty to sign proven players, get proper value in trades, or inspire a franchise.

I just bought 3 seats in Section 319 for the Philly game in late October.   There are scattered seats available, not all seats are season tickets, but I don;t have the number on how many are.
