LGR4GM Posted August 26 Author Report Posted August 26 I wish I could find it again and maybe I will look after my meeting but there was a story back in 2017ish on Victor Hedman. It was all about how he worked really hard on this skating and that first step or two. He was concerned with his short area speed and agility and spent every summer working on it. He got just a little bit better but it was the difference that took him to the top of the NHL in terms of best defenders. I think about that because of Benson's skating and even his shot, I have seen his skating improve every year since jrs. Last year by the playoffs it was noticeable that his short area speed was up and even his straight line speed was better. Idk, summer thoughts.
