They won’t even get that and it’s fine. If the kid did things the right way over these five years but they’re just not interested, there’s no harm in throwing him a bone. The positive relationship with the agent is worth it moving forward.

I think its good to be an organization that is seen to take care of its players...  I think that players know those teams that are likely to put the screws to them... I am not talking about ditching a good player for nothing... but moving a maybe AHL player that you had to room for to someone else fine with me... these things happen and if they are reciprocated then they happen more often.
