Other than being a seemingly super nice guy, the Hockey Guy isn't giving you any insight beyond a quick AI level search. Don't waste your time like I did unless you like his nice guy schtick... which I kind of do.

Big oversight on his part is he left Kulich off the Sabres list of forwards.  I'm a little shocked but it was covered several times in the comments.

Kulich is so interesting because he could appear and be a 50+pt forward or he could literally fade into the background.

If the clot issue is truly resolved, I look forward to more of this.  And the Sabres could use it.

Seeing all the goals, he definitely is a down low scoring guy.

Giant oversight? Not really.  He is the biggest unknown heading into camp.  Is he healthy? If he is what role is he going to play? Is he competing for a job with Helenius, Krebs and Östlund?  Maybe he should have cover these questions in the preview but that not really his shtick.  

Our top 9 right now is Tage, Benson, Norris, Doan, Quinn, Zucker, McLeod, Östlund, and Krebs. Kulich and Helenius are going to have a hard time beating out any of those guys.

I think he fits into the sabres style well and compliments the styles of the rest of the team. We can always use (and I think all teams) more down low/net front guys.

I would say the blood clot is resolved (barring another one for which he is at a much higher risk of developing now) he was cleared to skate/workout before the end of last season and it looked like he was using that time well in the weight room. Barring a truly terrible camp, I would pencil Kulich back in as 1C like last year.

Hmmm. Feels like one more step toward Skynet although one could argue they’ve already created it, we are just waiting for it to become self aware and declare war on humanity. Maybe I’ll employ your suggested methodology, despite my moral objections with it.

Personally, I don’t get the dislike for this guy. Is it superficial? Perhaps. But I think he is perfectly rational except for not including Kulich. He should have included him in a 13-15 fwd range. If healthy he has great potential. But blood clot issues are a very tricky situation. I work as a chaplain at the fifth largest hospital in the country, the top acute care trauma hospital in the southeast, and I visit a lot of people with blood clot issues. I am not a medical expert but anecdotally, I can say that it is very complicated and can have lasting effects and demand blood thinner meds and create all sorts of other complications. Depends in part on genetics. It seems a lot of fans have him pencilled in as if he is recovering from a knee injury. It’s way different from that! I don’t think anyone knows.  
 

On the other hand, I think his take is solid and very positive. Helenius is right there. But it’s also tricky as to who will make the team. I am hoping he is great and exceeds potential. .

Begrudgingly, I watched the video. Why did he mention Jake Richard? I do not see an NHL future for that dude at all.

Why do Kulich/Helenius have beat out someone in your top 9?  Dress the 12 best forwards and roll 4 lines.
