A healthy Owen Power can play his 400th Sabres game this year, leaving him just outside the top 50 all-time in Sabres games played.

Peyton Krebs is 40ish games ahead of Power and, if healthy, should easily crack the top 50

Expecting you haven't been to many since the original sellout streak ended.  And definitely not to enough to notice the actual trends in attendance (not official attendance, but fannies in the seats attendance) since then.

EVERY year (except '07 & to a degree '08) they have empty seats most October week nights and when there are non-name opponents coming in they have a LOT of empty seats for those.  Even going back to the late 90's Hasek years, attendance in the MMArena was lower early in the season than it was once the NFL season was done.  Heck, when the criminals owned the team, they'd regularly give STHers extra tix to early season weeknight games to try to bolster attendance.  (2 to 4 games/ year; which was great if you tended to split seats with someone as most of the ticket group could attend those games without having to buy extra seats.)

And, the Sabres disagree with you clearly.  Having a ceremony honoring Pominville and Vanek in early October is not likely to goose attendance much because of a myriad of reasons; several of which have already been mentioned.  Having a ceremony at an overpriced game in mid-January will have a bigger effect on the bottom line; and that's why they're doing what they're doing, gramps.

Was just in Vienna for four days.   Our tour guide knows of Thomas Vanek and was happy to hear of his induction into the Sabres HoF.

Interesting thoughts that got me looking at this because I never thought of it.  The Franchise has been around longer than I have been alive. Almost 55 years now. I think the are approaching 600 players all time that have suited up in the regular season (honestly thought it would be more than that.)

If Tage playes a fulls eason, he'll move up to 24th all time games played among Skaters, 15 all time among Forwards.

Dahlin has a chance this year to move to 12th all time among skaters, 4th among defensemen.

Krebs in the top 50 all time is kinda crazy to think about.
