As a Sabres fan, this picture triggers my PTSD.

You're obviously talking about all those 10 out of 10's you dated in your 20s because I feel that too!

I can't imagine wanting to live in a giant McMansion in Clarence at 24.  Waterfront condo at that age, all the way.

More than a fair point.

My guess(es) on why a young Sabre would buy a massive new(er) build in Clarence:

* He likes what the yard has to offer (fenced for privacy, in-ground pool, sick barbecue/patio area).

* Having all that space makes is easy for him to host family and friends when they come to town (some for extended periods of time).

* Clarence generally avoids the worst of the winter season's lake effect.

* Just about every national chain imaginable is out there on Transit Road. (Not my cuppa, but I'll be it's theirs.)

Absolutely. Although, he is from Arizona. All that fresh water might freak him out.

Chris Drury has entered the chat. He couldn't go to the grocery store without being approached. Players said the same thing during the playoffs.

And in these crazy times, what semi-celebrity wants to see his real estate transaction in the news?

Honestly, who cares?

Where did he buy the furniture?

Lake Effect Furniture with a touch of

Raymour & Flanigan’s.

No surprises to me accept for Seattle and Chicago being on the lower end of the tax scale.  They are very expensive US cities to live in otherwise.

Chicago has one of the highest city sales tax rates in the country and is set to go to 10.5% next month.
