I can understand not wanting to live in Toronto or even Montreal, but it blows my mind that Boston has as many votes as it does. Great organization and an amazing city.

Why? Just curious. I could live in either and think Montreal would be a great place to live.

I get that but I guess I’d like to think most people would be professional enough to play for whomever as long as it wasn’t in some awful city like Winnipeg (IM JOKING THORNY). Outside of Gauthier I can’t think of a single NHLer who said no I won’t play for you because when I was a kid I didn’t like you guys.

Josh Gorges anyone?  (His hating them as an adult does count, right?)

Toronto #1 on the list.

But if I was an nhl player, I would probably be a Canadian and therefore wouldn't have toronto #1.

I'm Canadian, and Toronto would be my #1.

I would love to live in Montreal but it’s a tough hockey market and not everyone might like being surrounded by Francophones. It would be #2 on my list of places to play outside of Denver. Toronto is also a tough market and pretty easy to say it’s not for someone for the same reasons NYC isn’t.
