Used to be a supporter of Forton's, then when Adams remained well past his "sell by" date figured there had to be somebody that had Pegula's ear that kept putting in a good work for ol' Kevy.  Forton seemed the logical choice to be that person.  Combine that with the drafts being fairly underwhelming prior to analytics getting a huge seat at the table, and was perfectly fine with him going out the door when Adams was shown it.  Still don't fully trust his political motivations (can't get past him having to be the guy that keep telling Pegula that his instincts about Kevy being a good guy were correct and that his Mayberry demeanor would work out if he just got more time); but now that Adams is gone am willing to go back to giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah he is a massive kid. Fully physically developed and seems to have character for days. MMA/boxing background. I mean if his offence hits look out.

Very interesting that Buffalo had him 13th on their board. They must believe in the offensive tools maybe being high end 2nd line. I can't wait to see how he does this year in the ncaa.

Most interesting nugget from a rather bland video.

Like is Forton actually giving a Terry his first rundown on the pick? Seems to me that entire segment has to have been staged for the camera, or the boss is way less involved than he used to be.

I'm still sad they only show Sam Ventura's face in these videos, instead of showing his input.

There used to be this site called pick 224 that ran for about 5 years. It had everything from ppg to primary pts per 60 to g/60. It was awesome but then I think an ohl team hired the guy and it all ended. 

My point is that if a guy on the internet was scraping that level of data, what are the Sabres capable of? How much of that do they want to keep hidden? I'd guess they have metrics on age v production and league stuff. They probably have tracking data like EP does. I think all of that stuff that Ventura knows they try to keep pretty quiet because they think it's an advantage. I know starting with Benson, the Sabres suddenly started drafting just a bit better. 

It was a bland video for the most part. I liked seeing the  Sabres picks after they were selected.

I have zero interest in having an actual Adams discussion and have seen that threads devolving into an Adams debate has been an issue here, but was it really controversial to fire him here?

I don’t know a soul in my own personal life and in my absence from SS that didn’t want him fired. I’m also not on twitter anymore, so maybe I’m just out of the loop?

I thought the most interesting part of the video was the look of shock on Dorian Williams face when he saw the size of Morozov.  You know Williams had to be thinking that this kid could play linebacker in the NFL.
