msw2112 Posted July 13 Report Posted July 13 (edited) I have no issue with the Davidson hire. As stated above, he's an experienced and quality NHL front office veteran. It just seems so odd to me that the Sabres are spending so much on adding front office talent after running lean for so many years. How many ex-GMs does one front office need? Will there be too many voices in the room? What will Davidson add that Jarmo and Bergevin don't already bring to the table? I can see the value in adding more scouts who can cover more territory and uncover more potential prospects. How many executives does one front office need? I'm definitely not complaining - I'd rather have too much than too little - but at what point are there diminishing returns? Maybe Terry has taken a liking to winning and making money from sold out games plus playoff revenue, and as such, has opened the checkbook for Jarmo to bring his guys aboard.
