While I'm already over it, I hate that it was done. Unless he is the Jesus of scouting, the right thing to do is let him go quietly. I'm sure another team will give him a shot. They stayed in touch over the years. Lucic reached out this year when he realized his playing days were over, "and the conversation picked up from there."
