Well, when you put it like that, you’re right. But the AHL backfill doesn’t start until July 1. 4 Quote

The Sabres haven’t said. GMJK did win one Calder Cup as a Columbus GM and was listed as GM of the AHL team at the time. So I’m not pessimistic. Quote

Geertsen will be here, but he’s not worth the roster spot. Without Kulich or Helenius (likely), that’s an entire forward line to find. Geertsen will be the extra, so that’s at least four. I think three goalies will be an NHL trend in 26-27 and for that reason, I don’t expect Levi to clear waivers. The crease is in trouble in ROC. I think you have the D correct. They’ll be OK there and Mrtka will play all situations. Quote

I’ve made a couple posts about it but they died on the vine, so you may be right. The D is in pretty good shape, if you’re OK with losing their best player. But they have 2 questionable baby goalies and second-tier veterans and zero prospect depth up front. I kinda expect a rush of free agent signings that will send us scrambling to hockey db this week and was reserving my panic until that plays out. Edited June 30 by dudacek 1 Quote

He needs another defender and 2-4 more forwards. Even with Mrtka you need 8 guys in Rochester in case of a callup. On forward you only have 10 if Kulich and Helenius are called up. You need to add. Given his injury and contract I doubt he gets claimed but he’s be good insurance to have around in case of injury in Buffalo. Quote

The Amerks have gone a few seasons without a heavyweight and it showed. 18-19 year old kids can be intimidated. Without a face puncher like Geertsen, they play different. Quote

Porous Five Hole Posted July 2 Author Report Posted July 2 This should go here Might not look like huge production, but he led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in points during the 25-26 regular season. The forward had a stellar year with the Penguins, posting career-highs in goals, assists, shots, and points throughout 65 games with the club. 1 Quote
