Too bad it’s clipped just enough to miss Thompson making a boneheaded play at the blue line then coasting back.

Both Dahlin AND Tage, our best D and best forward, fumbled that play at the blueline. Dahlin needed to just shoot the puck.

Such a travesty, absolutely terrible goal... Not sure there's any coming back from that one for Senor UPL.

I'm a little more philosophical.  This past season was his first playoff experience.  I expect him to learn and grow from it.

It certainly was a devasting goal he let in a high-pressured situation. But I don't see it having much of an impact on him this season. Our goalie play in that series unquestionably was inadequate. But in this series, the Sabres had a number of golden opportunities where our shooters didn't capitalize on. As I recall, Quinn missed on a number of shots that he should have scored on. Although the goalie's flub will be remembered the most, there were a number of other players who failed to seize on scoring opportunities that were a big factor in losing the series.

The past is the past. I don't see it have a lingering effect for this particular goalie this season. My general point is that it was a team loss and not caused by an individual player.
