Connor Murphy extends with the Oilers.

The Sabres made an offer for him at the deadline and Chicago never responded.

I’m sure Ottawa will kick tires on Tuch but I don’t know why the hell he’d ever go there.

Toss em UPL, Greenway and 2030 second for Reinhart.

I hope you’re joking. You can’t just pile up garbage and expect a great player in return.

A tale as old as time with Vegas.  Larkin or Hellebuyck probably.

To me Vegas has too much turnover. Always going for the shiny new toy.

Or Bo as Vegas were rumored to be in the mix, I mentioned it before but be all for swapping Bo for Pavel Dorofeyev's rights. Yet maybe they going to move another high priced guy to re-sign Bo to the extension he wants.

I'm hearing that the Oilers actually hired Babcock.  Going to be interesting when McDavid has to keep his coach in check.

Multiple reports that the NHL is beginning the expansion process for a team in Houston OR Austin.

Oh FFS we don't have enough good players for 32 teams.  When the league expanded to 32, we didn't have enough good players for 30.

This stuff needs to stop.

I wonder if they use these assets to try and turn Markstrom into Helley?

I can't imagine Helle has much hunger for New Jersey.

So that sets the floor for any Byram trade IMPO. 2 firsts and a 2nd for Nemec who only has a 26 point NHL season to his name.

Wow thats a really good point I didnt think of that

The only negative to that is Nemec is an RFA so his rights are retained by Calgary

Byram has one year left and is a UFA after, that is a big difference, now I would say Byram is a much better player then Nemec but the contracts are what they are

Absolutely, for any team with plenty of cap space and a window that isn't 3 or 4 years away.

Also probably removes Calgary from the list of potential Byram suitors.

Probably wrong to put a premium on previous Jarmo ties, but Kent Johnson and Kirill Marchenko are names allegedly out there.

Marchenko always seems to eat us alive and Johnson _ who had a bad year — is one of Power's best buds.

Sounds like Sens acquired William Eklund from SJ

Remember when some fans here wanted Eklund over Power?
