What are they up to in Florida when they trade a young player on his way to have a break out? Helleybuck?

I know nobody will believe it till it happens more regularly but Samokevich was considered a prime offer sheet candidate. Plus yes, I’d expect Florida to be a prime Helleybuck landing spot.

And why couldn’t we have swung this deal? Maybe Florida didn’t want him in the conference.

Still though, the return on this is paltry and they still traded him. Maybe Florida didn’t value him that much.

Seattle is the nicest US city in the summer that I've visited, and it's not even close.

We do get 6 months of dimness and drizzle, but the summers...

What am I saying? Summers are terrible. Don't even think about moving here! Traffic is...

But it's 75 and the mountain is out. And tomorrow we have a heat advisory because it will be in the 80s. And it should be like this through September.

That’s a great move for Seattle. He maybe poised for Josh Doan breakout next season

Samoskevich is the young-Tuch the Sabres should be looking for instead of signing Tuch.

Ooooh, what fun!

Florida will regert it.

Over the long haul, at least.

Tkachuk / Barkov / Tkachuk

Verhaeghe / Lundel / Reinhart

is an absurd top 6. Especially when your third line has Bennett and Marchand on it.

Florida has no future, but their present is very good.

Well thats just ridiculous quite frankly.

I can’t stand Vegas, Florida and Tampa just eating up every big name on the market. (With exception to Hughes)

Apparently he was open to Florida, Vegas, Carolina and Minny. It seems players are all trying to move to the same teams.

Florida doesn't have a first until 2030. I'm sure the next GM will thank Zito for the 10 year car crash that awaits the franchise.

What difference does that make if they are competing for Stanley Cups, and if that squad stays healthy, they will be.
