Then you factor in the diving crap. Sure, it happens in other sports but nowhere near as much as in soccer. That said, I am watching some here and there. Trying to stay engaged. It ends up disappointing me more than pleasing me. I hope to see some good games moving forward. 1 Quote

I referee my schools lunchtime football (games) and if the kids try the theatrics with me I take them out of the game as they are clearly “too injured to continue”, and I have a duty of care to all pupils. I also inform them that the nurse will need to see them at the end of the game to assess if they can play again that week. That’s nipped it in the bud. I also have implemented a sin bin for arguing. As y'all know, I don't follow this at all and have next to zero clue who is "good" vs underdog. It was a 2-2 tie, wow, how exciting... But anyways, it seemed like the Iranians were heartbroken with a tie.... Is this a poor result? Quote

New Zealand isn't regarded as being a very strong side and the other teams in the group are pretty good, so not getting the win potentially puts them in a tough spot 1 Quote
