Money for Nothing … great song, great band, definitely a classic but NOT a banger befitting any sporting event in 2026 and beyond. Two thumbs down 👎👎

Where is the none of the above option?

Why live in such negativity lol, the experience was fantastic from start to finish, game 1 against Boston to game 7 against Montreal.

No need to eliminate anything, just relish in it instead of finding reason to be unhappy 😭

You stop right now, we are all big strong men, and we must make changes because we lost 😉

Also, there's women on here too, probably holding it together better than us lol

Hear me now... The misguided goalie taunting needs to end. It's like going to an NFL away game (Bills fans know better) and hearing opposing fans cheering while their own offense is in the huddle, as they're breaking the huddle, and/or when they're at the line... it's amateur hour.

The goalie taunt is getting overplayed, Boston and Montreal both did it the same way our crowd did rather than waiting for someone to let a goal in first. The fans had fun, let em have fun. It’s not amateur hour when the rest of the league is doing it as well

The only thing that needs to be gone from home games is the losing.

Yes, they did do it that way during the Sabres series.  In at least 1 of the 3 games they did.  They very well might not have done it in the other 2, but in at least 1 of the games, they did start it early and while the puck was in their own end.

Goofy tradition is one of the things unique to hockey.

I used to attend college hockey games as an undergrad. There were the jingling keys as time was ticking down on a blowout, the chants of "start the bus", the "you're not a goalie you're a sieve, you're not a sieve you're a..." so forth for a bit... "you're not a black hole, YOU JUST SUCK!!" goalie taunts, among a plethora of other goofy, engaging traditions in context that were a lot of fun.

Taunting a goalie from the opening faceoff is like someone jingling their keys at the opening faceoff... or like someone starting a "zero... we want one!" chant. I don't care if some other stupid fan base is doing it... just don't do it. Just because Baaawwwston was doing it doesn't mean it's not amateur hour.

Was it the next game after one of the games they blew us out in?

Elijah wrote that Habs fans utilized the chant the same way Sabres fans did, which was not true in any game. It was not done nearly as often in Montreal, most notably. It's early, often and all night in Buffalo, and was incredibly annoying to everyone except Swayman and Dobeś.

Believe it was.  Pretty sure it was game 4.  But honestly, at this point, that entire series has blurred into one amalgam.

You'll never get the players to admit it, but that arena was a foreign place for them. A true road game. Likely more discombobulating than Centre Bell.

Yeah. Money for Nothing has run its course.  The messaging in not correct for Buffalo.

Not to mention the song crescendo's 15 seconds in, everything after that is melancholy.

Why so much hate for blade gang?

Thought it was cool for the first time they went to Boston. Didnt like them on the drum, reallllly didnt like them trying to monetize their social medias and asking for funding to send them to Boston for game 6. Seemed a little amateur for the Sabs org to give into it.

The little intro rift with the guitar is awesome for an intro, but it NEEDS to go into another song more upbeat. Was there game 7 and it was dead by the time the intro finished...

People in Buffalo know in their hearts what the song is about. Making fun of working class people who dare criticize overpaid entertainers.

I think they should eliminate the house DJ and just rely on the organist.

that sounds very retro a vibe I like it

I couldn’t vote for goalie taunts because I love goalie taunts.  Like everyone else said, timing of the goalie taunts is key or else we just look like fair weather fans that don’t understand the game

After 15 yrs, I am of the belief that the fans doing goalie taunts 30 seconds into the opening period don’t understand the game. And certainly don’t understand context.

There are things I like and don't like...just like everyone else.

Ultimately, Nothing should really 'go' if the fans like doing it, unless it is SO bad that the rest of the league immediatly thinks Buffalo is a laughing stock because of it.  And I don't mean a few people make fun of it, but EVERYONE else does. I don't really see that yet. So, fans will be fans, let them have their fun (I really think the whole "Sabs", spelled that way, is pretty close to being really bad, but whatever"

For the the gameday experience, I have just a few things they should keep:  Sabretooth coming down from the rafters (Most kids seem to absolutly love that), Better days being used (just not every single game in the regular season).  Blur as the goal song (as much as I love Kickstart my hear as a song, I think Blur's "Whoo-hoo" is a great overall goal song), and a mix of Sabre Dance and/or Hurrican being used when the team hits the ice.  If that is all that EVER did, I'd be happy with it.

But, try new things I guess. Let the current younger generation of Sabres fan find "their" thing. Let them find their own thing, like "Sabre dance" is to the boomers, or what "Better days" is to Gen Xers.    Let them find something everyone over 45 now hates....and in 20 years their kids will hate but they'll still love.
