Montreal is making this game so chaotic in the Canes end and in the neutral zone, Carolina can’t keep up.

Everybody conceded that Carolina was going whip Buffalos ass, not me I think Carolina is old and slow and doesn't have the talent Buffalo has or even what Montreal has, they just play structurally sound. It's all they got and I think Buffalo would have beat them handily

I don’t get the juggernaut talk either. Carolina is good but they were a 113 point team in a weaker division than Buffalo’s 109 points.

This series is far from over, I expected rust on the Canes. Dobes is a hotter goalie than Andersen but Carolina’s defensive game is better than Montreal’s.

A lot of people whine about Buffalo not having a superstar forward, the same can be said about Carolina. They have a lot of top end talented forwards but no one on that team is ever near the scoring lead, league wide. Slavin is a top level shutdown Dman and a force to be reckoned with. Their top puckmoving Dman, Gosthisbere, would not be top 4 in Buffalo.

We know the Sabres can beat Montreal so I either way I think Buffalo could’ve made it to the finals by scoring one more goal.

Carolina got sucked into playing Montreal's game. It happens because all hockey players want to play fast and loose. But they need to tighten it up and play their system. Old-a$$ Tampa had success against Montreal doing that.

Canes dominating now.  Typical NHL where the team winning kind of packs it in, plays D stops forechecking.  The team losing pushes like crazy.

I wish the Sabres were out there. 

Habs came out with authority tonight but the Canes were cold.   I actually dislike Carolina much more than Montreal. 

I liked Montreal and Boston (Bobby Orr) when I first got into hockey.  Montreal was and is the team with real mystique and amazing winning culture.

I knew Carolina was going to struggle after two weeks off tonight. Good chance MTL can win this series. Their speed is giving Carolina problems. We will find out next period and game 2.
