Big Guava Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 I mean honestly that might be the best thing with the difference between how both teams have played at home versus on the road this series and really throughout the playoffs. Sabres fans...should we sell as many to as possible?? 2 1 Quote

PASabreFan Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 I mean... tickets were being added to sites this AM. Pretty sure it's been happening and will continue to happen. Quote

Not sure of the exact mechanics of how you're allowed to list tix on the website; but MANY people chose the "pay as you go" option for their playoff tix; so many of the game 7 tix hadn't been bought until late last night by the STHers. In past seasons, for the regular season, you couldn't put tix on sale if you hadn't already actually paid for them. (Talking about for folks that use the 4 or 10 month payment plans. You couldn't put tix for games to be played towards the end of the season on sale until you'd actually given the Sabres your money.) Don't know if they were treating playoff tix the same way or not. Different for the playoffs. You can post future tickets even on pay as you go. Would hope there are enough area Sabres fans wanting to be in the barn tomorrow who are also scooping up secondary market tix. Edited May 17 by Derrico 1 1 Quote

Crusader1969 Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 were STHs given the option to buy additional tickets prior to the general public? I assume they were. if so, those tickets should have been for friends and family only- not to sell on stub hub to price out the average Sabres fan 1 1 Quote

If anyone is pricing Sabre fans out of the building this round, it's the Sabres. 1 Quote

He would have ended up losing money on face value if he didn’t have a buddy step up last minute to buy at cost 1 Quote

I don't care how many away fans are in the building. The goal is to win on home ice and clearly it's not an advantage right now. Edited May 18 by Big Guava 1 Quote
#freejame Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 I will be there screaming my head off for better or worse. W-L-L-W-L-L at home so far. The fans have fed the beast for two games. It’s ready to eat. Quote

On the minus side... they're likely working with a ticket consolidation company - which is essentially a team sponsored ticket broker who buys tickets, and the team then get a % of the profits of re-sale tickets. AKA - we don't want to "raise ticket prices", but we want to make more for tickets than we are right now. So tickets are the same, but if i sell 75% of single game seats to the consolidator at cost, they then sell them on secondary at a profit, and a % of that profit will go to the sabres. They can't do that with a seat licensed team like the bills, but its pretty common in sports. Quote
