The last time I had Gabe’s Gate before a Sabres game was 12/22/2010 on my 19th birthday right after getting my first tattoo. The Sabres won that game 5-2. I’m there now. Dial up a repeat.

What tattoo are you getting this time😎

Please, Lindy, separate Thompson and Tuch. Leave Tuch on the first line and move Thompson down to the second line. Move Norris down into the dungeon and McLeod up.

Benson Helenius Tuch

Krebs Thompson Doan

Zucker Mcleod Quinn

Greenway Norris Malenstyn

To me, everything is on the table EXCEPT breaking up the Doan/Norris/Benson line. Do not touch the one line that is truly going.

Being on ABC tonight, that’s some rare broadcast airtime for a Sabres game. Anyone in the country that wants to watch hockey tonight is watching Buffalo/Montreal.  Hope they show up.

I'd be fine with just about anything right now as long as Tuch and Thompson aren't on the same line. Ruff has to try something different to throw St Louis's plans off. So far in this series it's obvious that Thompson and Tuch being on the first line together has not been working well against the Habs.

Saturday night hockey in Montreal with the chance to push the Canadiens to the brink of elimination. Hockey does not get much better than what is about to come.

Sabres have played badly three times in this series.  I am a realist.  The chances they turn it around and play two stellar games to win the series is very low.  I hope they win but not getting worked up over this game.  Have fun watching everyone.

For the first time this season, this is a must win.

They have not lost a must win game in 14 years. Why start tonight?

All I had time for was my som getting his face painted. I think it’s close enough.

Does ABC count those at Key Bank in their ratings?

I am watching on CBC because that is how Hockey Night in Canada is supposed to be watched. I will switch to ABC if the Sabres get down early though or rearrange my sock drawer.

I have a slightly different take on this pivotal game that will determine the fate of our Sabres.

I’m gonna play a Jack Quinn drinking game.

Any time he fans on a shot, whiffs on a pass, or falls down - I have to drink.

I’m gonna be hammed in the first period… hope I don’t pass out before I find out if there’s a game 7.

I am guessing 5-2 MTL. They have been skating circles around us for the most part of the series. It took a lucky freak goal to keep us in it. I don't expect that to change at this point. I really hope I am wrong and they suddenly find their game.

If the Sabres find a way to win the series I think they need to go to the goat head at home v Carolina.

These guys need to reset at KBC. Change it up.

Mind you, I hate that we constantly wear the Goat head against other red/black teams. But this warrants a try.

McLeod is -8, worst on the team in the playoffs.  In fact his +/- is worst than the next 3 lowest players combined.  He didn't do a single thing to help the 4th line in the last game.   If anyone should sit in favor of Kozak to night it is McLeod.

Norris is working with Benson and Doan, he is just not finishing - like many others on this team (Quinn, Tuch, Zucker ...).  Why change the one line that works?

Another thing, Lindy does not ever care about line numbers 1, 2,3  - he sets them up for balance and the ones that play the best get the most ice.
