Big Guava Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 Win or lose the next one or two games, all I ask is that they give it all they got and play with no regrets. 6 3 3 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 Doing some family things this weekend that were planned out well in advance and without knowledge of what would or could be happening Sabres-wise. One of those things is an interstate rivalry baseball game (Go Twins!). As luck would have it (in my experience there's no such thing as luck) and unbeknownst to me until early this week -- it's going to be Star Wars Night. Nice. As unluck would have it -- I will not be watching the Sabres game unless it goes to multiple overtimes. (But I'll be paying attention on the phone.) So, before the day gets going. Then man your ships, gents. And may the Concept of the Cup be with you. Lock s-foils in attack position. And 'Spacers, make the next post. And the next. On and on until they win... or the posts are spent. 1 1 2 Quote

Broken Ankles Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 There must be multiple changes to the line up after the collapse in the game 5. Timmins out, Stash back in. Maybe Metsa. Bench Greenway and add Kozak for a fast fourth line of 48/71/29 to contend with the speed of the Canadians top forwards. If you have a letter, time to stand and deliver. Buffalo, lay it on the line tonight. You have nothing to lose. Return home in Triumph. 4 1 3 1 Quote
Big Guava Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 Any update with Power? I know they said he went out and skated and was on the bench, wasn't sure if he actually played after that or if we got update after the game or yesterday, I have stopped watched at 6-3. Quote
Mustache of God Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 Way too much pregame doomerism here. I've been saying that this will be a 7 game series before it started. Sabes will turn it on tonight and then anything goes in game 7. Tonight Jack Quinn will finally make his mark in the back of the net. Tage Thompson will bring his C- game and that will be enough to not ***** the tram over. Let's go sabres! 4 5 Quote
sabresouth Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 Win or lose tonight, its been a heck of a run. First of December would have never thought we would be here. Just enjoying the ride. Play hard Play fast Play 60 minutes LETS GO SABRES!!!! 2 2 1 Quote

OverPowerYou Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 Just remember, in 2011 Philly had to come here down 3-2 in game 6 and they ended up winning the series against us 1 Quote
Punch Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 (edited) The more adversity the boys need to overcome, the better both for the short term and long term. This is how a young team becomes battle tested. We see a lot of growth and we see some areas where they need to respond and tighten things up. They haven't shrunk from a challenge all year, no reason to expect them to now. PASabreFan Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 James, Sabres trading cards, Gator Produce keys. We got this. Ready the griddle. (Snipped for later gloat-posting.) Quote
Peace Frog Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 My heart says "We win a close one in OT tonight." My head says "Win or lose, this season has been a success considering they just went from a 14 year playoff drought to winning a first round series." My stomach says "If I see one more turnover in our end from a weak-arsed breakout pass, I'm gonna eat rusty nails and poop corkscrews!" 7 Quote
Popular Post bunomatic Posted May 16 Popular Post Report Posted May 16 I’ll take the view of the more sage posters on the board. As hard as it is that its do or die here this has been an incredible season and whatever the outcome I will strive to remain positive. For better or worse. I can’t bemoan percieved mistakes when hockey much like football is really a game of inches in that a post here or a dasher board deflection can mean the difference between winning and losing. Hopefully the boys give their level best and leave it all out there. Give em hell gentleman and enjoy the game. Go Sabres! 5 3 2 Quote
CallawaySabres Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 I’m not quite sure why it feels like they have no chance in this game… it’ll be really interesting to see the final score in this one. Quote

John Tucker Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 5 hours ago, Kristian said: Sit Tage. Injured or not, he basically cost them game 6. No more room for his selfish, lazy play. Injured wrist? Doesn’t excuse not skating. Doesn’t excuse taking moronic penalties. No room for the player he has been in this series, it’s an eliminatiom game, and it’s time Ruff pulled a “Michal Grosek” on him. If he does have an injured wrist, why would they let him take faceoffs? Especially the ever important d-zone ones 1 Quote
K012010 Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 If the Sabres don’t win tonight, I am committing Seppuku on the edge of the Falls and as I plummet into the watery depths I will cry out to God asking why I couldn’t have one ***** sports championship in my life and that he owes me so bad and I better be reincarnated as one of the French connection in a different timeline. And before anyone says it, no this isn’t too dramatic. I don’t know why people keep telling me I’m dramatic. 1 Quote
BullBuchanan Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 4 hours ago, SabresBaltimore said: really curious about the lineup tonight. I'd like to see Lindy shuffle the top lines. Maybe something like: Doan - Thompson - Benson Quinn - Norris - Tuch Krebs - Helenius - Zucker Greenway - McCleod - Malystyn Also Power is hurt. Even if he plays can he do his usual 20+ minutes? We can't afford Schenn tonight. I'd rather see Metsa or Kesserling, but at least Stanley. Schenn is just too slow to keep up with Montreal There's no reason to put our best duo with our worst player. Make our best guys better, and try to protect the guys int he slump from doing damage. Get 3 goals from one line and everyone else should play very defensively. Benson - Helenius - Doan Krebs - Thompson - Quinn Zucker - Norris - Tuch Greenway - McLeod - Malenstyn 2 Quote
