#freejame Posted May 10 Report Posted May 10 Finally! I feel the same going into this game as I did game 2—unrealistically good. We’re going to take this one. I suspect with some key contributions from our top end talent. Go Sabres! 1 2 1 Quote

French Collection Posted May 10 Report Posted May 10 I would say they brought their C- game on Friday. A rude awakening to how things can change if you don’t prepare properly and play the right way. Bounce back and show everyone what your team can do, you are good enough to win this game and the series. Let’s go Buffalo! 5 Quote

rickshaw Posted May 10 Report Posted May 10 Anyone concerned how we are perceived now after Greenway embarrassed himself late when letting Anderson abuse him with zero repercussions? I wonder how much it “really” matters as opposed to the media talk about it. Did it matter? Need a far better effort in all facets tonight. Hopefully our best players show up tonight. 1 4 1 1 Quote

We’re going to find out tonight. Guessing MTL is too smart to come out bullying. We must play a fast, hard checking game, avoid penalties, score early. Need a stout D and solid goaltending. PP and PK in the spotlight tonight. Lyon or Uppie? 1 Quote

This team has made great strides with overturning the perception of one who can get run over and outworked, but its easy for the media to fall back on old assumptions especially when something like the end of Game 2 occurs. Its the first time on this big of a stage for the franchise in 14 years. The easiest way to push back on the narrative is to push back on the Habs and play the tough disciplined road game we all know they can play. Greenway's barely played this year, his action or inaction alone doesn't define the whole roster. 4 Quote

The winner of game 3 win the series 80% of the time. But you can the same thing about game 5 when the series is tied 2-2. The game 5 winner wins the series 78% of the time. The need to show us that game 2 was a aberration. Let's see their best game so far. 5 1 Quote

Greenway should be. This matters more to the media but I do think that the lack of response from Greenway, who instigated a lot it, will make Montreal feel much more comfortable playing Buffalo than they did Tampa. That is what the veteran NHL players in the media really mean. 54 minutes ago, Punch said: This team has made great strides with overturning the perception of one who can get run over and outworked, but its easy for the media to fall back on old assumptions especially when something like the end of Game 2 occurs. I watched his interview after game 1 several times, his "best game" of the season. He just strikes as a guy that is not passionate about winning. It would not bother me to see him replaced by Dunne or Pearson either. They should just put that last game behind them. They need to come out playing hard, fast, and physical. Finish more checks, and back up their teammates. Edited May 10 by Pimlach 2 2 Quote
