If he's available Wednesday, but still not above, say 95%, then keep him out until it becomes absolutely necessary to put him in. Try and give Carrick as much time as possible. He will be vital once in. 4 1 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Ruff said he's going to start practicing. This is great news, but I'm not exactly sure what that means. Is he in a non-contact jersey? How close is he to playing? My hope is that he'll be ready for game 3 in Montreal. Being able to win key faceoffs on the road in the playoffs, could tip the series in favor of Buffalo. 2 Quote
L Ron Burgundy Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Has a group of fans ever cared more about a 4th liner? Certainly I have not. He meshed so well for us in his limited time. Really hoping we see him soon. Quote

Rasmus_ Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 He's been missed and adds a lot to the bottom line, but I will say that Kozak has been hard on the puck and shows his speed in excellent form. 3 2 Quote

GoPuckYourself Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 This seems like he's being rushed out, how do you go from being out a whole series to IT'S A MIRACLE? I'm super stoked but cautiously optimistic also. 1 1 Quote

Could also have been a bit of gamesmanship, making the Habs think he’d be out and now they have to quickly prepare for a more threatening 4th line. 1 Quote
Mustache of God Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 If / when Carrick is good to slot into the line-up, who does he replace? Kozak or Greenway? I could see him replacing Kozak as the center, but I also think Kozak has more jam/ability to hound the puck than Greenway. This series is going to be about speed and since his surgeries Greenway has always looked a step behind. I know Greenway is good on the PK but Carrick can fill in there. Quote
