And we lose a ton of faceoffs when they matter, whether on the PP or PK when puck possession is extra critical as you know. Quote

dudacek Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Gotta be favoured because they’ve been there before: Dallas. Nope Edmonton. Nope Tampa. Nope Not even going to mention Pittsburgh and Boston. The league is changing. Why not us? 9 Quote
Sabres73 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Just a reminder the last time the Sabres and Habs met in the playoffs in 1998 the Sabres swept them. 1 Quote

The Sabres chased Andy Moog in the series finale. If you want to play a game of "remember some guys" here's Montreal's lineup (based on ice-time). Shayne Corson - Vincent Damphousse - Mark Recchi Martin Ručinský - Saku Koivu - Brian Savage Scott Thornton - Marc Bureau - Turner Stevenson Benoît Brunet - Jonas Höglund - Mick Vukota Dave Manson - Patrice Brisebois Igor Ulanov - Stéphane Quintal Peter Popovic - Craig Rivet Andy Moog José Théodore 1 Quote
dudacek Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 (edited) Remember when we traded Marcus Johanssen for Eric Staal? Six years later and he’s coming off a 49-point season for the Wild and out there skating in the 2nd round. I wonder if Staal is doing anything useful these days? Edited May 4 by dudacek 3 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 (edited) Foligno, naturally. (Another example of a new GM needing to bring in his own style of team rather than building on the up-and-coming foundation.) Edited May 4 by DarthEbriate 1 Quote
... Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 This game is going to end up being something like 11-9 Colorado. Quote
FrenchConnection44 Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 I would have preferred Tampa as I think their style allows us more opportunities and to use our speed more. And we have scored a lot on Vas. Too bad. Oh well. Montreal will be tough. Goaltending is a huge factor. But then Swayman was tough. We have to shoot well. Montreal just packs it in if they get a lead and their goalie is really tough to beat. We have to bring it and score early and force them to play more offensively and that can get us turnovers and chances with our defensive checking. 1 Quote
Big Guava Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 What in the hell is going on in this game? Wild come back to take a 5-4 lead and then Colorado scores 3 straight to make it 7-5. Reminds me of the Sens-Sabres game 1. 1 Quote

Impatient and delusional lot those Bruins management people are. Quote
Flashsabre Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Avs-Wild thought they were playing a 1980s Western Conference playoff game.😀 1 Quote
