They just put an ad up for the Draft Lottery tomorrow at 7pm and I’ve never been happier not to give a 💩 about it.😀

I actually had a legit “oh ya!” moment. Had totally forgotten about it. Felt great

Did this actually happen? The Sabres were credited with 53 hits in game one and 30 in game two. Buffalo was down 4-0 when they picked up 35 of their penalty minutes. Boston had 27 blocked shots. Game 1 was when they showed they were more than tough enough.

both games 1 and 2.

I only want to see if the Leafs get to keep their pick or not. If they lose it to the Bruins that trade last year goes down as one of the worst in NHL history from their side.

Toronto, for their own good, should NEVER trade with the Bruins.  They ALWAYS get fleeced.

Montreal Canadians, come on down! You’re the next contestant on our road to the cup!

Imo, Montreal’s ability to consistently win faceoffs in key situations was a big reason they won.

Idk if we'll win the series but playing Montreal seems more fun than Tampa. Not because I think they're easier, just different than the always in the playoffs Tampa Bay.

If the Leafs keep their pick then next years first is unprotected to the Bruins and the following year’s is unprotected to Philly and Leafs will be no better the next 2 years

Fork it.  Faceoffs only matter when they matter.  Stay focused in their own end and they won't matter*.

(* - But win the MFing ones when the Habs are on the PP.  THOSE will matter.)

Like this matchup ALOT more than Tampa. At his point in the playoffs every team is great, every team is dangerous, but I like our odds against a Rookie Goalie (he played great tonight) and would have hated the threat of Kuch, Vasy, Hagel, Guentzel, Raddysh, Point, and Cooper.

Gonna be a fun series!

Also, if the lower bowl is covered in red Habs fans I'll be disappointed in our fanbase.

I think we caught a break here.  I’m happy it’s Montreal.  They are good but the Sabres do not feel inferior to them whatsoever.  As that series went on I thought the perennial playoff tested Lightning were getting better and would be a harder opponent.  TB totally dominated Montreal tonight and lost by a couple unlucky bounces.  We’ll take it.

I thought I read that Hedman might be coming back as well.

Probably the scariest part of the Habs is the fact that Dobes is a rookie.  And the Habs have tended to do OK behind rookie keepers while the Sabres have been in the league.  BUT those rookie keepers never faced the Sabres and on occassion those rookie keepers couldn't take the Habs to the promised land.  (Penney's from Heaven, anyone?)

Get some past Dobes in game 1 so he remembers he's a rookie and don't take dumb penalties to give that PP too many chances and hit Caufield every chance they get.  The playoffs have been too big for him so far, continue to make that a thing.

Sabres have got this.

The league still does a draft lottery?  Cute.
