He’s not inexperienced enough at 19 years old to deal with the role. If the Sabres needed a 3C or perhaps a 2C, then maybe…but slotting him with Greenway/Beck and telling him to be a shutdown guy just isn’t his game. I would rather win the series than worry about burning a year on his ELC, but 4C is not an ideal fit. 1 Quote

Second Line Center Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 We looked just fine with Norris in games 1 and 2. All good. 1 1 Quote

The short bench after Noah left the game in the 1st was pretty detrimental, I'd like to have seen them fight through it but its no surprise they struggled. Hopefully Norris' return resets the balance and fingers crossed on some good injury news in the next two days. 1 1 Quote

He goes down 2 days after cementing his role on PP1 and giving a massive spark to the lines and a scary second scoring line. 2 days. That’s what we got before disaster. Welcome to Buffalo. Im so sick of this man. 1 Quote

LGR4GM Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 At least Norris gets another few days to make sure he's 100% 2 Quote

That and being to picky on shot attempts and passing instead of shooting. And how can you let Pasternak get behind you in OT. 2 Quote

Im so sick of this man. Yup, I have fully accepted that the end is near and I guess I was just glad to have that memory of Game 1. This is Buffalo sports and the anticipation of disaster is always the first thought before the thought of a championship. A defensive back injury here, an infection on a Dmans leg there, a terrible call in AFC Championship here, a non-call in OT there...It is what it is around these parts. They had to get that done it OT last night for these thoughts not to poison the fanbase for games 6 and 7. 1 1 1 Quote

Carmel Corn Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Mitts caused this by falling into Östlund....I'm not saying Casey is a goon, but something about his "fall" looks a little suspect to me. 1 Quote

I wonder how many other fanbases feel this tortured? Courage! 2 3 Quote

It would depend on the situation. Injuries, Helenius required skill sets at the club lvl. I’m not advocating he get put into the lineup, merely that it’s very possible if conditions warrant it. We aren’t in the regular season, this is the Stanley Cuo playoffs, it’d be foolish to be rigid on such a subject. 2 Quote

Popular Post zow2 Posted April 29 Popular Post Report Posted April 29 I didn't see Boston crying about missing Viktor Arvidsson and laying down. He didn't even make the trip to Buffalo. Sabres fans need to get a grip. If the team blows a 3-1 series lead it's not because of Östlund. He's a nice player for sure,,, and was missed last night because we were down a Center. but fans need to understand that players are going to get battered and bruised and miss time. You just pray it's not the superstars. 9 1 1 2 Quote
