You must look like guy in charge. It's a little out of character for me to dress casually, but I still steam ironed my dress shirt. Casual Tuesday starts today! I'm definitely going to need an Imlach style fedora, though... 1 1 Quote

You must look like guy in charge. You may not be aware of it but the fedora has been out of style for more than a generation other than for men 90 yrs old and older who are still playing bocce ball. You may not be aware of it but you are almost as uncool as I am. Congratulations for this ignoble achievement. 😎 1 Quote

I don't think it will break their spirit, but a goal or two by the Sabres early will force Boston to open up their game and play riskier hockey, and the Sabres will capitalize. When they're down 6-0 again... then their spirit will be broken. 1 hour ago, Stads said: Already? Pace yourself. Hats have been replaced by the "ball cap". You may not be aware of it, but men with style never become uncool. 1 1 1 Quote

Chevyvanmiller Posted April 28 Report Posted April 28 Nice write up on the Sabres rising to the top of the standings this year and team chemistry. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/48612606/2026-nhl-playoffs-stanley-cup-buffalo-sabres-comeback-wins-contender 1 Quote

A little more than a year out from retirement maybe I should start wearing a t-shirt and pajama bottoms to work. My last full year was the COVID work from home year. So I did wear tee shirts and sweat pants or gym shorts to work. When we started to go back to work I had to put on my Directors clothes and go back to my office to continue to implement changes and policies that I did not believe in. I lost my love for the game. So I left early. It was the right move. 4 1 3 Quote
Pimlach Posted April 28 Report Posted April 28 (edited) Back to hockey ... I am going to stop thinking about what the Bruins will do or how they will come out. The Sabres need to play their game and make Boston try to keep up. Edited April 28 by Pimlach 2 6 3 Quote
Slack_in_MA Posted April 28 Report Posted April 28 Keep playing fast, on your toes. Attack, forecheck hard. Nothing cute. 100% direct and intentional. LFG. 3 Quote

Doohickie Posted April 28 Report Posted April 28 (edited) My guess is Norris will play if he's good to go and Kozak will sit. Then the next question is who plays 4C? Norris? Östlund? Krebs? McLeod? I think a case can be made for each of them to play 4C. I mentioned somewhere else that I'm okay with Norris playing a game or two on the fourth line, then figure out which of the top three centers to swap him out with. I think it would be mighty interesting to see him back on the line with Tage (the original intent, yeah?) and let Tage wing it. 2 minutes ago, Brawndo said: If it’s not broke Stick with the heavy lineup tonight in case Boston brings its BS And there it is. Good to know that Norris could go if somebody's pregame meal doesn't sit well. But would rather give him a few extra days off. He won't get rusty in the interim. Thought he didn't look quite right in the 2 games he did get into. Take the extra time and see if he can be 100% next round. 4 Quote
