Sabres are going to surprise. Only it shouldn't be a surprise. Not for those of us that have been watching all along. Did I say they couldn’t? Just said they need an extra gear. 1 Quote

PerreaultForever Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 This Ottawa Carolina game is really fast. If Sabres can force the Bruins to play at this sort of pace they will win. Bruins can't play this fast. 1 2 Quote

If I'm Lindy Ruff, and he sees the Bruins have any of their goons out there for the opening whistle, there is no way I'd put Dahlin out there for the opening faceoff. I'd put the 4th line out there with Stanley and anyone but Metsa back there with him. Yes. Bruins vs Sabres, game 1 opening face off I have Stanley with Byram on the blue line with Norris centering Tuch and……..send out the Badger on the other wing. Quote

Yes, just watching the canes/sens so far is enough to make anyone realize what it will take. Anyway, I think the Sabres proved they are playoff ready back on March 8th, especially when they floored it by putting it into passing gear. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 (edited) From that angle, given the glove's recoil, you'd say the puck is probably in. But you can't actually see the puck. So --- call on ice stands? Edit: ha. Of course not. What was I thinking? Edited April 18 by DarthEbriate Quote

For that reason, the NHL goes the other way. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 I suddenly realized... all 3 games today are on ESPN. Has the NHL never even heard of playoff hockey and how it sometimes goes to overtime? Why isn't the middle game (MIN@DAL) on ESPN2 from the beginning? What in the actual hell? 1 Quote

steveoath Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Why don’t they have sensors in the puck/goal that will automatically tell you if it crossed the line? Works in football (read “soccer”) and tennis. Quote
SwampD Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Since when does the call on the ice of a goal not matter? 1 Quote

Nacho Libre Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Well the sacking count for the playoffs is now 1 Quote

I will never forget how Ruff's playoff coaching seemed to put his team in another gear. They attacked as a 5 man squad and forced teams with speed and force. This could be a hell of a ride. We're really only missing a Varda type player and a proven goaltender. It will be on our goaltending as to how far the Sabres will run. 1 Quote
