LGR4GM Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 It's 4-0 Boston after 2 periods against NJ Guess I'm calling my shot. If they have an epic 3rd period collapse, y'all get to make fun of me.
TageMVP Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 You're getting made fun of regardless Don't lock this thread too 3
Taro T Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 Good. Now that we no longer have Adams, want to be the Adams Champs on the way to becoming Stanley Cup Champs. Starting with the Otters renders that impossible. Bruins Habs Whalers Nordiques (Thanks to Punch, or whomever it was who pointed out that Carolina and the Avs are the most likely opponents should this run continue.) 3 4
PromoTheRobot Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 I have a friend of a friend with Bruins seasons. I'm offering a game swap. 1 1
Apollo Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 I live in New England so this will be fun. The Celtics tend to overshadow the Bruins however and their playoffs are beginning as well. Need a plan on how to contain Pastrnak (easier said) and Geekie. Swayman will be the ultimate difference maker.
Nacho Libre Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 So, we are rewarded relative to 1st place, I think. I’d much rather play Boston than Ottawa 5

I’d much rather play Boston than Ottawa I was up in the air until I watched a youtube interview earlier this evening. I don’t remember the channel. Ottawa got this far with the worst goaltending in the conference, maybe the league. They have a helluva team, really. If they get middling goaltending, they are going to be murderous. Boston is 1 line and good defense and goaltending. We know we can get to decent goaltending with our offense. A Boston series will be tight, but in theory we should have plenty of talent. Ottawa probably matches our talent level. I like this matchup. Fuggin team better not make me eat my words. 7

They were mired down towards the bottom because Ullmark was having his issues. Now that he's back and seemingly himself, turns out there's actually a pretty good team in front of him. Glad they're facing the Canes. One of those 2 teams has to get knocked out before Buffalo might have to face them.
GASabresIUFAN Posted April 15 Report Posted April 15 I’m heading to Boston on the 25th through the 29th. Maybe the schedule will work out so that I can go to a game. 1

All the east series look fun. 3 1

We did real good by finishing first and have been rewarded by getting to play Boston instead of the red hot Senators. In the month of April so far, the Sens have gotten 11 of the 14 points, including wins over Buffalo, Carolina, Tampa, Florida, and New York (Isles) in this home stretch. The only negative about not playing the Sens is that a Sabres/Sens series would most likely be way more exciting than one with the Bruins. There's always another round for that, though.

If the Wings win their last one, Vegas loses their last couple and a couple other teams out in the Pacific lose then Detroit COULD end up with more points than anyone in the Pacific. AND they'll have finished 6th in their division and therefore out of the playoffs even though 4 teams in the Pacific got in. Mention THAT one to her. Certainly she'll appreciate it. 😉 2
