caseydean Posted April 12 Report Posted April 12 RJ's namesake did him proud in his third lifetime start. At 7-1 he opened up a 7-length lead in mid-stretch in Race 6 at Laurel Park today and eased up to win by 3 1/2. He finished in an excellent time of 111.4, beating a strong field of 12 horses. I hope RJ is smiling down on our RJ. 7 Quote

Best wishes for continued success. 1 Quote

He had a good break. Going from a maiden claiming to a optional claiming non winners of 1x is a pretty big jump in class. The top 3 in the race were pretty solid. Although he faded in the stretch He was around the pace for the first quarter. I am sure a softer spot will improve his chances. Hope for the best. 1 Quote

Winner got a 90 Beyer, too fast for the boy. Quote
